How to Pack a Carry On for 3 Countries

Image
It’s usually a bit shocking when I tell people I only pack one carry on for long term travel , especially since my Instagram makes it seem like I travel with an entire mobile wardrobe. But it’s true! All I have is one trusty carry-on sized suitcase, and a whole lot of packing tricks and techniques that I’ve figured out during the last six months of full-time traveling. Why do I pack so light? Aside from saving a ton on checked baggage fees, I also save a lot of time, and a lot of anxiety about people going through my luggage. Actually, that last part wasn’t even a problem until recently, where on two separate occasions I had a mini-drone go missing, and more devastating; a pin from my grandfather’s Ex Prisoner of War hat. Luckily it was just a replica, but it has now made me extremely cautious about what I put in my checked bags. But anyway! Enough about my reasons why I travel with just a carry-on, and more about how in the hell I manage that! It’s honestly all about having a ...

How to Use Tinder During Travel

Image
by Alyssa Ramos I thought I was just so clever when I blurted out to my roommate that I was going to enable my Tinder profile on a recent trip to New York City, and frankly, she did too. What better way to meet cute, sophisticated guys in suits in a city where I had no idea where they hid, right? Well. Ah yes, taking a flight used to be thought of as so fancy that people would actually dress up for their flights, and look nice, and have manners, and be considerate of others, etc, etc. Now….not so much. I’m not sure if people don’t notice how they appear in public, or if they just don’t give a sh*t, but when you have to be in a flying freaking capsule with no outside air for prolonged amounts of time, you need to adhere to some sort of flight etiquette. Unless of course, you want to be added to the category of worst possible people to sit next to on a plane. Just sayin. First of all, have you ever walked on a fashion runway? Because the second you step inside of any airport, you’re pretty much on one. Everyone, and I mean,  everyone , is looking at you and judging you as you inno...
