With its relatively small land size and incredible high-speed trains, Japan is an ideal destination to explore if you enjoy overland transit. There are many reasons to visit Japan: From ancient temples and shrines to ultra-modern hotels and cutting-edge technology Japan is quirky, fascinating and manages to blend past and present together so beautifully. Any month of the year is a great time to visit this unique country, as each season is sure to deliver natural scenery that will literally take your breath away. Personally, revisiting during the cherry blossom season it at the top of my bucket list! I’m what you may call a ‘holiday intruder’. If any family members or friends announce that they’re going away; I’ll try my best to ensure that I can go with them. So apologies if you know me and you’ve planned a cool trip that you don’t really want me to come on… I’ll probably find a way to be there I’m afraid. It’s just what I do. So, when my dad told me he was planning a week in Cornwall with my gran and great aunt, I immediately booked three days off work and decided to visit for half a week. (Which I think they were pleased about…) We got an amazing deal at Piran Meadows Resort and Spa; just £250 for a week’s stay in a luxury three-bedroom caravan. It’s the kind of place that obviously comes alive in the school holidays, with lots of kids’ activities and sun lounging opportunities! But there’s plenty to enjoy out of season too.
