GRACE HOTEL, Santorini – Click here to book on Booking.com
If you had to choose just one place to stay in this magical place, the Grace Hotel would be my pick. Located on the cliff’s edge, overlooking the Aegean Sea and with breathtaking caldera views, it just can’t be beaten when it comes to location.
A truly luxurious property, it features one of the most amazing infinity pools on the island, a sophisticated yet minimalist style, and beautifully decorated deluxe rooms and suites that each feature their own private outdoor space. Some of the rooms & suites have their own heated plunge pool for you to enjoy at your own pace. The daily breakfast is a highlight too, with three courses served al fresco, and unlimited champagne to start the day off on the right note! When you can pry yourself away from the hotel, it’s just a quick walk to Fira with its myriad of restaurants and shops to browse, or you can jump on an ATV and explore more of the island. I’d recommend checking out one of the wineries or heading down to Oia to eat at the little seaside tavernas on offer before coming back to enjoy your room and the incredible colors of the sunset from your balcony.

HELIOTOPOS HOTEL – Click here to book on Booking.com
Heliotopos Hotel is located in Imerovigli, one of the four villages on the cliffside in Santorini, overlooking the caldera – actually Imerovigli is the highest of the four, as well as the quietest.
We loved our stay at Heliotopos Hotel, mainly because it is an intimate place but – at the same time – family. It is a boutique hotel with only 11 rooms, a tiny infinity pool, a cave restaurant, an amazing wine bar, and a sunset terrace. Let me stress one point: the sunsets are just as amazing as those you enjoy in Oia – but without the crowds!
Heliotopos Hotel is a classic Cycladic building: all white with blue domed roofs – and plenty of stairs. Each of the rooms is unique: ours had a kitchenette, a certified fake Greek statue (no kidding!), a private patio with lounge chairs and a comfortable bed under a vaulted ceiling.
We chose it for its quiet location and its surroundings – as well as for the fact it caters both to families and couples, while many hotels in Santorini are adult-only. Our neighbors were an Indian family and a Chinese couple on their honeymoon.
Another reason that made us opt for Heliotopos Hotel is that it is not far off the main road connecting Fira and Oia, making it easy to reach by public transportation if desired – but the scenery was so stunning that we often chose to walk. It is an easy hike to Firostefani and Fira (30-40 minutes) minutes, while Oia is roughly 2 hours away, on a most spectacular cliff-side trail.

LOIZOS STYLISH RESIDENCES – Click here to book on Booking.com
If you want a little luxury and value for money, a great location, and stunning views nearby, then Loizos Stylish Residences is perfect. As part of our Greek island hopping itinerary, we stayed in Santorini for 4 days and our experience here was incredible.
Just minutes walk from the stunning Caldera views, and in a quiet and peaceful location, yet still close enough to all the action of Central Fira, we couldn’t have asked for more from Loizos Stylish Residences. The hotel itself is a traditional Cycladic establishment and features a swimming pool with sun lounges and umbrellas, a beautiful breakfast room and even hair appointments and massages on the premises.
Everything about Loizos screams luxury and comfort. It’s not you “over the top” kind of luxury. It’s just the right amount to ensure that you have a worthwhile and happy time on your stay in Santorini. Each room boasts its own unique style and decor and has either a balcony or immediate access to the pool area. The staff here are also very helpful and friendly!
While the hotel is beautiful, the location is what really sets it apart! Within a 5 minute walk, you can either be taking in the Caldera views at one of the top restaurants in the area or be in the center of Fira town! The best part? Although so close to all the action, Loizos feels secluded. Like it’s a paradise of its own.

REMEZZO VILLAS – Click here to book on Booking.com
Remezzo Villas is a beautiful boutique hotel in Imerovigli on the island of Santorini in Greece. The views of the volcanic caldera were stunning and there is a great view of the city of Oia which gave us some beautiful classic Santorini photos.
One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because of its great location mid-way between Oia and Thera. We wanted to be centrally located since there were restaurants and activities we wanted to explore in both directions.
There were many room type options and all of the studios, suites, and exclusive level rooms were clean and simple. They have just what you need and are quite comfortable. As it was our honeymoon, we splurged on the Honeymoon Double with a private hot tub on the balcony!
We also opted for the included breakfast option and I’m so glad we did! All of the food was amazing – made fresh as each table was seated each morning. It was a fixed menu, which worried me at first since I’m a bit picky, but I was easily able to enjoy plenty to be full to start each day of exploring.
What truly made it an amazing experience was the staff. Anything we needed was quickly and easily arranged for us: scooters, restaurant reservations, directions to the best beach club (since the hotel is on the caldera side, not the beach). This service made the stay truly memorable, as we weren’t worried about the logistics. The prices we were charged were more than fair and in line with the research, I’d done before the trip.
I’d be more than happy to return to Remezzo if our travels take us back to Santorini!!

There is a total of 6 luxury suites in the premises laid over 3 levels in a zigzag manner like a traditional Greek house. All suites have a private balcony/terrace with sea views. SIGAL VILLA – Click here to book on Booking.com
Sigal Villa is the perfect place to explore the south side of the island. Located near the ancient city of Akrotiri, the villa is close to some of the most popular sites in Santorini – the Red beach, Akrotiri ruins, the Lighthouse, and Perissa beach.
Perched at the top of the hill, the rooms have a great view over its pool, the island of Thirasia, and the famous Santorini caldera. In addition to its great location, the rooms are spacious and the staff is extremely friendly. The owner of the hotel even offered to drive me into town a couple of times and gave me tips about what to do while on the island (which came in handy!).
I divided my time in Santorini between Akrotiri and Oia, and when the time came to move, I didn’t want to leave! Spending the nights watching the sunset from my balcony became one of my favorite past times.
Staying here is the perfect balance between being close to everything you need, but keeping away from the crowds and enjoying your own little corner of paradise while in Santorini.

MUSEUM SPA WELLNESS HOTEL
After spending the first half of my trip to Akrotiri village, I needed to find a hotel that was reasonably priced and located in the center of Oia. The Museum Spa Wellness Hotel had everything I was looking for, and more!
Located on Oia’s main pedestrian street, it’s mere steps away from the hustle and bustle of Oia, from the castle ruins, and too many restaurants to choose from. It’s perfect for catching those perfect Santorini sunsets and close enough to both sides of the caldera.
The rooms are big, well laid-out and built in the iconic Cycladic style. I stayed in a studio on the bottom floor, with a small veranda that was great for enjoying a quiet cup of coffee by the pool. Being so close to the center gave me the opportunity to also enjoy Oia in the morning before it gets overrun by tourists, and at night, once everyone returns to their cruise or hotel in a nearby village.
It’s the perfect location for getting the most out of this picture-perfect village, especially if you’re only in Santorini for a short time. Book well in advance for the best prices and choice of rooms!
